People spend time and money on joy: roller skating, music, dance. No one asks them to first prove they improve some social metric.
We treat this judgment as a foundation of value: joy an individual actively chooses has value in itself. A character experience is worth delivering starting from that joy; mental health and social inclusion are separate research questions. Solitary joy before the mirror is one such joy: it happens with no audience at all.
For us, “deliver delight” stays near at hand: deliver the joy well first; study long-term value separately.
